Parent & Guardian Code of Conduct

SFA Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct Policy - Please Read Carefully

Savage Football Academy

Savage Football Academy is committed to creating a positive, respectful and development-focused environment for all players.

Parents and guardians play a vital role in supporting that environment.

By enrolling your child at SFA, you agree to the following:

1. Positive Support

I will:

• Encourage effort, learning and resilience
• Praise attitude and sportsmanship, not just performance
• Respect all players, coaches and other parents
• Promote dignity in both winning and losing

2. Sideline Behaviour

I understand that SFA sessions are structured coaching environments.

I will:

• Refrain from giving technical instructions from the sidelines
• Allow coaches to deliver guidance without interference
• Avoid shouting tactical directions during training

Support is welcome. Coaching is not.

Players benefit most when they receive clear, consistent instruction from one voice.

3. Respect & Conduct

I will:

• Treat all players with respect, regardless of ability
• Avoid negative comments about other children
• Raise concerns privately and constructively
• Model the behaviour I expect from my child

4. Communication

If I have concerns regarding:

• My child’s development
• Behaviour
• Safeguarding
• Training standards

I will raise these directly with the academy in an appropriate and respectful manner.

5. Behaviour Outside Training

I understand that SFA promotes high standards both on and off the pitch.

I will support the academy in reinforcing:

• Respect for school staff
• Respect at home
• Accountability for behaviour

We are trying to create well rounded, well mannered individuals, not just good footballers.

6. Collection Policy

Parents or guardians are expected to remain present during training sessions. Savage Football Academy is not responsible for supervising children outside session times.

If a child is not collected within 30 minutes of the session finishing and no contact can be made with the parent or emergency contact, the academy may contact local authorities or police in line with safeguarding guidance.

Breach of Code

Failure to meet this Code of Conduct may result in:

• A discussion with the academy
• A formal warning
• Suspension or removal from the programme

Savage Football Academy reserves the right to protect the training environment for all players.
